The Gospel today proves that Jesus does not give up on anyone!

The Blind Man and Zacchaeus (the tax collector) did not fall into this trap of self-judgment and shame – but MADE THEMSELVES VISIBLE

The Blind Man kept CRYING OUT… even when people were shutting him down!

Zacchaeus the tax collector was hated and blocked from seeing Jesus…
but he climbed a tree!

For Jesus, to be blind does not just mean physically… but also spiritually.

To SEE A PERSON is to Love a Person.

In this culture… there is a destruction in the way we SEE people.

This is a LUST-FILLED Culture

This is a pornographic culture that teaches us to see people for their bodies, not for their souls.

Pornography BLINDS us from seeing the person as they are!

When you look at porn, you don’t see more of the person, YOU SEE LESS

Whenever you are looking at someone as an OBJECT –
you are USING them, and NOT LOVING them.

Boys (not men) – when you look at a woman as an object – You are Blind –
You don’t see her as a daughter of the Father.

Girls (not women) – when you look at a man as an object – You are Blind –
You don’t’ see him as a son of the Father.

Statistics on Porn Use
1. Average age of first Internet exposure to pornography: 11 years old
2. More than 70% of men from 18 to 34 visit a pornographic site in a typical month
3. 53% of boys and 28% of girls (12 to 15) reported use of sexually explicit content
4. 20% of kids reported that they have engaged in some sort of sexting
5. In 2008, Roughly two-thirds (67%) of young men & one-half (49%) of young women agree that viewing pornography is acceptable.

Jesus says in the beatitudes “Blessed are the pure of heart, for THEY SHALL SEE GOD”
