The fourth word (phrase) God uses to describe His character is "abounding in love" or "loyal love." In the Old Testament, this word combines the ideas of love, generosity, and enduring commitment all into one. It describes an act of promise - keeping loyalty that is motivated by deep personal care. God’s love was never about our worth. It’s a display of God’s generous loyalty to His promise. When we experience the purity and power of God’s love shown through Jesus, it compels us to reimagine why and how we can show love back to God and to the people around us.
