"I find birds chirping very relaxing. This is why I've chosen to work with this particular sound recording.
I imported the original sound into Ableton Live. I recorded a few pad improvisations using my 1010music lemondrop granular synth. I then recorded some piano that I processed with a few effects (Puremagnetik Fragment, Spaceship delay and PaulStretch).
Overall, I tried to write a piece with a calm mood, a slow pace and a smooth instrumentation where no instrument stands out too much, a piece where the textures, melodies and harmony float gently together with the birds."
