Stromboli beach reimagined by Giovanni Verga.
"An ancient legend tells us that Strombolicchio is the cap of the Stromboli volcano thrown into the sea by a violent eruption. And indeed, this small volcanic island is located right opposite the volcano.
"This image took me back to 20 years ago on a cold April morning when I was in the island walking on the beach. The sea was in a storm, the Stromboli erupting and Strombolicchio just there a few meters away, looking at volcano as if it were a bottle cork thrown into the sea. I wanted to compose a small piece as a tribute to that magical and energetic vision."
