“Come and see”. These are the words that Philip shares with Nathanael in response to his skepticism about Jesus. The phrase is pregnant with meaning and significance and informs our understanding of what it means to tell others about Jesus. After meeting Jesus himself, Philip can’t help but talk about him. If we’re going to see our city transformed by the power of the gospel in our generation, we must be a “come and see”-type people to the outsider and the skeptic. Come and see.
