He coached overseas professionally in Austria, Canada, Kuwait, Dubai, Venezuela and the Philippines.

Coach Pickering owned a pro minor league team for 10 years; and made 12 tours to china as well as Mexico, Europe.

He has scouted full time for the New Jersey Nets, Indiana Pacers and worked for 8 other NBA teams via player personnel.
