Colchonero Chat ate more than enough ham after Wednesday's Copa del Rey win in Salamanca and now want to discuss the expolits of Atletico Madrid from the comforts of home.

Robert Walker (@trauppin) is a staff writer at Into the Calderon and Carlo Valladares (@C_V_News) is a writer and analyst for Atletico Fans, The Stoppage Time and World Football Index, as well as a member of the Sound of La Liga podcast. They are the guests on this edition of the program, discussing Atletico's 6-0 mauling of Guijuelo on Wednesday which saw many B team and fringe players get a chance. Of particular note were the performances of Nico Gaitan, Saul Niguez and Thomas Partey, plus a goal from canterano Roberto Nunez.

At the weekend, Atleti return to league play by hosting a pretty decent Espanyol side with several colchonero links. This game could be a significant barometer of how the team intends to play the rest of the season, and the podders debate the pros and cons of returning to Cholismo vs. pushing on with the more expansive style. Plus news and banter.
