In this podcast I speak to designers, makers, and interesting brain-workers from across the world to hear their stories and discuss creativity. This time, I met Karen McManus who is the Senior Director of Revenue Marketing at a company that provides design assets and technology that help create brands. Although being a single parent, she somehow manages to writes Young Adult contemporary and fantasy fiction books in her spare time. As if this wasn’t enough, her recent book ‘One Of Us Is Lying’ became an instant New York Times and international bestseller. The book has been on the list for over 30 weeks already and available in 35 territories worldwide. Last but not least, the book is currently being developed as a TV series. I have read it myself and—although many would say I am not a Young Adult anymore—I liked it a lot. Hence I had to find out about the secret of writing a bestseller in your free time.
