In this episode of Creative Guts, co-hosts Laura Harper Lake and Sarah Wrightsman talk with artist Heather Hernon! Influenced heavily by her dad, an artist himself, Heather knew she wanted to be an artist early on. While she studied graphic design in college, she spent much of her career working in fashion design in New York City! Originally from New Hampshire, Heather returned to the Granite State because of the pandemic. Heather’s art, which largely features drawings of women, is largely inspired by women’s fashion magazines — a very cool consequence of her time spent in the fashion industry. In this episode, you’ll hear how Heather incorporates her children into her creative time and what’s next for Heather!

Take a peek at Heather’s work on Instagram at www.instagram.com/drawinginbed.

As always, come hang out with the Creative Guts team online at www.CreativeGutsPodcast.com and on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/CreativeGutsPodcast and Instagram at  www.Instagram.com/CreativeGutsPodcast

Special Note: At the time of this recording, it is mentioned Heather would be participating in a month-long residency at Art Up Front Street in January, however that is no longer the case as she will be moving into a studio space at the Button Factory in Portsmouth, NH.
