:: ::

We discuss Coen Brothers' 2013 film Inside Llewyn Davis, starring Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake, a cat and others!

Inside Llewyn Davis tells the story of a struggling musician in search of work. We talk about the how the cinematography and the editing of the film grant the film and sombre tone and pace. We also discuss the themes of depression and romanticization throughout the film, and how the film forces us to think about the unsaid rather than feeding us with the conflicts.

To be honest, we think we don't think we understand the film in entirety --- but that always makes for good conversation, doesn't it? Do tune in!

Spoiler Alert - This podcast contains a lot of nitty-gritty details from the film.

Intro Track -- Hang me, Oh Hang Me from Inside Llewyn Davis, performed by Oscar Isaac. Original song performed by Dave Van Ronk.

Outro Track -- Tuntuna by Shamoon Ismail.
