This is Pentecost Sunday!

-Today's message is about Authority and Power and where it comes from, and what we can do about it.

Matt 3:11 “I baptize you with water for repentance, but he who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Power and Authority

-Authority is from Jesus

-Our power should come from the Holy Spirit

Lev 23

You shall count for yourselves

Count 50 days after the sabbath

Jn 14

Jesus -This is imperative for you that I go and the Holy Spirit comes

Zeph 3:9

I will restore them with one language to a pure language

Is 28:11

With stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to his people

One accord

Acts 19:6

-this event happens 24 years after Pentecost

The Holy Spirit came upon them

Paul asked if they had been baptized..They said we were baptized with John’s baptism

Paul told them that was the baptism of repentance

Suddenly the Holy Spirit descended on them and began to speak in other tongues

40 days Jesus showed himself to many after his resurrection

10 days the 120 huddled together in the Jerusalem upper room waiting for they didn’t know what to expect

50 days total

Matt 24:14 ―And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come

Gospel of the kingdom

After he preached the Kingdom, He healed all kinds of sickness and diseases

Where the gospel of the Kingdom of God is preached, then the healing and miracles come

One difference between nurseries and a graveyard

One has order the other has life
