When Paul is saying "We are approved ministers to God, who tests our hearts and He is always testing our  motives". Ultimately the question we must answer is, can God trust you to continue to minister his gospel? 

The second part talks about getting into the presence of God before you start asking for your own needs. God is more into "We" than "Me". Where two or more are gathered in My name, My presence there I will be in the midst (middle) of them. Getting into the presence of God in the local church can and sometimes will cause believers to accomplish the impossible
