In the Garden of Eden

God gave Adam and Eve the purpose to “subdue” the earth

Gen 28:17 

Adams purpose: To extend the boundaries to the entire planet until it becomes under God’s Dominion

Meaning of "Subdue":

In the Greek stir up the key to Subdue an Open Heaven

-to provoke, wake up, arouse, render active, activate

Speaking in Tongues is meant in part to “stir you up”

Stirring yourself up is part of subduing your dominion on earth

We’re usually looking for God  only to comfort to us

-We cannot justify unbelief because of fear or disappointment

It does not change God's mandate just because of or due to our failures
