Tampa Bay Rays analyst for Bally Sports Sun, and former Rays pitcher Doug Waechter joins Jay and Ian on Thursday to give his take on MLB's sticky situation and Tyler Glasnow's injury. Doug says that when he pitched, he did have some trouble gripping the ball, but the problem is no one knows whether a pitcher is using a substance to actually improve grip, or enhance pitches. Doug does believe pitchers should be allowed to have something to help improve grip because rosin is not enough. Doug also won't speculate (though he has no reason to doubt) on Glasnow's allegation that not having his combination of sunscreen and rosin to help control his pitches led to his injury.
