EP32: Why Was I Born In America? - a podcast by Daniel Flores

I’ve been thinking a lot about why I was born in America instead of Mexico. Both of my parents were born in Mexico and they had family down there and so I could’ve been born in one of the states they were born in but, that’s not what happened. Ultimately I think there is one reason most Mexican parents want their children and grandchildren to be Mexican-American and that is: better opportunity. That comes in two forms and I think these two things are what most immigrants want for their offspring; not just Mexican immigrants. I think we should keep the reason why immigrants come here while at the same time addressing issues like racism in America. Listen for my thoughts and enjoy!
