With its Get Comfortable, Get Artistic, and Brew For One campaigns, Creature Comforts Brewing Co. has given $2M back to non-profits in the Athens community since opening in 2014. They are redefining community giving and through their downtown location, they have literally and figuratively created space to do wonderful things. In this episode, we talk with Madeline Bates and Ally Hellenga.

Madeline Bates oversees the Get Artistic community impact program at Creature Comforts Brewing Co. She is also a member of the Athens Cultural Affairs Commission. Madeline earned a BA in Art History from the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia in 2015. Ally Hellenga serves as the Community Manager at Creature Comforts Brewing Co. in Athens, Ga. In her role, she helps steward two of Creature Comforts’ community impact programs: Get Comfortable and Brew For One. Prior to joining the Creature Comforts team, Ally worked within the higher education sector at both Wake Forest University and at the University of Georgia. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from the University of Georgia’s College of Journalism and Mass Communications in 2016.
