Title: The Best Hunting Gear for Adults and Children

Show Notes:

Not only do you need to be concerned with the weather when choosing hunting gear, but you should also be thinking about the kind of terrain you’ll be out on, and whether the gear has been tested. My cousin Anthony and I share the best gear we’ve found for hunting, and as an added bonus, we’ll talk about what kind of hunting gear we buy for our children.

Sometimes you can find great gear at Costco, like my favorite base under layers. But other times, it’s worth it to splurge on shoes or gloves that can protect you when you’re out in the wild. Anthony and I work through the best:

  • Hiking boots

  • Hiking socks

  • Cold weather gloves

  • Binoculars

  • Hunting pants

  • Hunting rifles

In my experience, not only can bad gear mess with your overall hunting experience by making you so cold that you can’t enjoy yourself, but it can also mess with your stalking abilities. Getting out on the trail with brand-new shoes can literally hobble you as your feet blister in unfamiliar shoes. Anthony talks about how he gets his kids ready for hunting and hiking, and why he tries out different pairs of shoes on his kids.

Be sure and check out some of my gear recommendations on my website, and don’t forget coupon codes for some of my favorite brands.

What’s Inside:

  • The best backpack that Anthony swears makes his bowhunting form even better.

  • Our recommendation for gloves that you can shoot with or hold your binoculars with while still keeping warm in below freezing temps.

  • Hunting gear for children should be broken in well before the actual hunting trip.

  • My absolute favorite gaiters for keeping brambles and cacti out.

  • Can binos ever be too good for a hunting trip? Anthony explains his thought process on binos.

Short Description:

Cheap hunting gear that doesn’t get the job done can really ruin a hunting trip. When the temperatures dip below 20 degrees, you don’t want to be more concerned with staying warm than keeping an eye on the herd below you, so today I’m giving recommendations for some of my favorite kinds of gear.
