Luke Cage hires Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) to help track down an acquaintance who has seemingly disappeared. As they both work together on the investigation they reconnect and things start to get all Sweet Christmassy. Elsewhere in New York, an easy poker win for Kilgrave (David Tennant) leads to an intriguing property search in suburbia as he strikes a deal to buy a house for a very special renovation. However, just as Luke and Jessica's relationship begins to take shape developments in the case throw up Luke's real motives to find the missing person as Jessica fears he'll learn too much about his wife Reva (Parisa Fitz-Henley) death. As events unfold a bitter truth is forced to the surface about their shared history.
