Written by Cheo Hodari CokerDirected by Paul McGuigan

Cornell"Cottonmouth"Stokes (Mahershala Ali) needs his stolen money back so he can cover for his cousin, Mariah Dillard's (Alfre Woodard), misuse of public money that was used to fix up his club Harlem's Paradise. With Chico (Brian'Sene'Marc) gone to ground Cottonmouth, Shades (Theo Rossi) and Tone (Warner Miller) make an ominous call to Pop's (Frankie Faison) Barber's shop, where Chico used to work, to try and find him. But little do they know that the N.Y.P.D. Detectives Misty Knight (Simone Missick) and Rafael Scarfe (Frank Whaley), investigating the murders of Dante (Hugues Faustin) and Shameek (Jermel Howard), have also taken an interest in his whereabouts.

The detectives call on Pop's who, feeling a responsibility to Chico's late father, asks Luke to track him down before Stokes and the police get to him. With Chico located a parlay is set-up with Cottonmouth for the exchange of his money and Chico's safety; but an unexpected tip-off to Tone and Shades leads to unintended repercussions that break the code of the streets and set a determined Luke Cage on a different path in Harlem.
