Written by Andy GoddardDirected by Akela Cooper

Cornell Stokes  (Mahershala Ali) is released from police custody as Scarfe's ledger is found inadmissible. However, the fortunes of his cousin Mariah Dillard (Alfre Woodard) are less fortunate as her reputation and career are both still on-the-line. Pressurised to resign from the council and vulnerable her world is given fresh focus by an unexpected meeting with Shades. Back in Harlem Cottonmouth looks to deal with Luke Cage (Mike Colter) once and for all and threatens to expose Cage's true identity Carl Lucas. Whilst Luke's instincts are to run Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) persuades him to fight and Cage scores another victory taking Domingo Colon's (Jacob Vargas) Hammer weapons off the streets of Harlem.

Back at Harlem's Paradise another fight is about to break out as Dillard visits Stokes to convince him to let go of his obsession with Cage. Deep dark family histories and relationships between Mamma Mabel (LaTanya Richardson Jackson), Uncle Pistol Pete (Curtiss Cook), young Mariah (Megan Miller) and young Cornell (Elijah Boothe) finally boil to the surface and a family secret leads to spilt blood. As Luke Cage finishes his day, unaware that he will be framed for the murder of Cottonmouth, a shot rings out over Harlem as one Judas is swapped for another!
