19. LaRayia Gaston - Homeless NOT Hopeless - a podcast by DEN Meditation

We are thrilled to share with you this very special episode with LaRayia Gaston. She is an amazing woman who has been feeding the homeless since she was a teenager. Her organization “Lunch on Me” pioneers new grassroots methods to empower the most vulnerable among us, LA’s homeless community. She provides over 10K organic hot meals a month (which she cooks out of HER kitchen!) and creates other opportunities to enrich their mind, body and spirit such as yoga, reiki and group events. She refuses to give them something that she wouldn’t eat, and explains how one of the biggest problems is how we dehumanize this community, and by ignoring someone’s existence causes incredible damage. LaRayia teaches us how daily microgestures change the world, how we can all check our ego at the door, and how you can (and should) bring positive energy to every interaction in your life.
