All about "Difficult" 
Hard [hɑrd] adj.努力的；硬的；困难的；辛苦的
eg. It is very hard going. 这个进展非常困难。

Tough [tʌf] adj.艰苦的,困难的；坚强的,不屈不挠的
eg. It's quite tough.这很棘手。

Formidable [ˈfɔ:rmɪdəbl] adj.可怕的;令人敬畏的;难以对付的
eg. This is a formidable project. 这是项艰巨的工程。

Tricky [ˈtrɪki] adj.狡猾的;微妙的
 eg. It's a bit tricky.这个有点儿难 搞。

Demanding [dɪˈmændɪŋ] adj.苛求的;要求高的;强求的;费力的，吃力的
eg. It is quite demanding.这事儿（办起来）非常费力。

Not easy [nɑ:t ‘izi]  除了直接表达困难，当然也可以用反义词 easy 来表达。 eg. It's not so easy.
