There are questions in the story and even the prophecy. Like what are treasures from the see? Did Jesus get pearls? Jesus mentions pearls. How many months after the star appeared did it take for the magi to travel? At least 1.5 years? Does the painters get the last word on the Magi being at the birth? Hm. Even after rereading it over and over, it’s still amazing and should be taken with love and wonder.
