More About Gavin Smith

Gavin joined Bosch Australia in 1990, and was appointed President of the local subsidiary in October 2011. Since 1997 Gavin has held numerous positions within Bosch’s Automotive Original Equipment business both locally and in Germany. Prior to this date Gavin held a variety of Information Technology Management and Specialist roles with Bosch and other multinationals.

Gavin is also a Non-Executive Director of the Bosch & Honeywell joint venture company FMP (an automotive brakes component manufacturer), the Stillwell Motor Group, and the German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK).

Gavin holds a bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Otago, New Zealand and an MBA from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. Gavin is a passionate advocate of Road Safety initiatives and the plight of the homeless, dedicating time and energy to both causes.
