A child’s behavior is communication! If we want them to move away from tantrums, we need to give them words!

-model negation in daily activities & when they are upset
-use their communication device after to talk more about what happened
Now remember, our typically developing children go through the terrible 2’s and 3’s and the child’s behavior of throwing a fit has been working for them….this is going to take time, so hang in there! The end result it’s worth it!
