The Challenge of Trail Access – With IMBA Europe President, Thomas Larsen Schmidt - a podcast by Downtime MTB
from 2021-03-30T02:33
Today I'm joined by IMBA Europe's President, Thomas Larsen Schmidt. Our trails are seeing more use than ever right now, and there are definitely some issues coming to the surface. So, it feels like an important topic for me to cover. We sat down to talk about the current state of trail access, user conflict and the challenges that we face. Thomas provides some things to consider when we are building trails and using the outdoors. He talks about the importance of getting organised, and gives some examples of areas where this has worked and led to great results. This is an area where we can all help to improve the situation. So hit play and have a listen to this episode with IMBA Europe's President, Thomas Larsen Schmidt.

Crankbrothers
Crankbrothers have just launched their new range of shoes. I've been testing the Boa version of the clip and the flat shoe, and I'm really impressed. They are super comfy straight out of the box, and have some lovely design details. Like rubber dots in the heel cup to stop your heel from lifting. The sole on the flat pedal shoe is a great balance of pedal grip and the ability to adjust the position of your foot on the pedal. The sole on the clip shoe has transformed my clipped-in riding experience. It's way easier to clip in and out with the Crankbrothers shoes. This means that I feel way more confident on the trails. You can check out the entire Crankbrothers shoe range at crankbrothers.com, and find your local dealer here.
