We’re trying something new. First we will podcast our show in it’s
entirety then we’ll release just the guest interviews during the week.
So please click on the POD button to listen to Dr. Fitness and the Fat Guy
learn all about strength training from Fred Hahn, author of the best
selling book The Slow Burn Fitness Revolution.

Slow Burn exercise
stimulates positive adaptations to every
aspect of your body including the cardiovascular system. Once
stimulated, the
body needs time, roughly 48-96 hours, to produce the benefits. Science
indicates that if the quality of an exercise program is high, 2
sessions a week
of exercise is more than adequate to cause optimal positive results.
More than
three sessions produces little added physical benefits.

Fred says that exercise
itself doesn't make you "fit" or healthy. That it is sort of a
necessary
evil. The body becomes healthier if the exercise stimulus is adequate
and if
rest and recovery is allowed for. Quality not quantity is the key.
That's why you can get such a great productive effective work out in
such a short time with Fred's Slow Burn method .

During the show, Fred also talked about his upcoming new book about Childhood Obesity. He feels that eating too much sugar is a big part of the problem. For more information about Fred and his Slow Burn technique please go to his website www.seriousstrength.com
