What a vision. Being a prophet of God was difficult and Jeremiah wasn't sure he was up to the task. But God wouldn't accept Jeremiah's excuses. what God did give him was a promise and the courage and the strength to do what God had asked him to do. And so Jeremiah learned that God was indeed with him. And he also learned that God was watching and would carry out all of his plans, that God would stay true to his word. So we need not be afraid. And the same is true of us. God can help us when we're afraid to do those things that we know that he's asked us to do. And that my friend, is really good news.
