Clients withhold information from us all of the time, but should we withhold information from them?  During a reading we often see things that we do not like. This is personal bias and should be treated as such. Your opinions have little to no place in a reading. When we are having a chat with a friend or gossiping about someone we can be as biased and opinionated as we are (or are not) every day. But when we are reading for a client (or a friend, family member, etc.) we have a responsibility to tell them what we see.  In today's lesson we confronted a real-life reading by an unnamed student because it made for a great object lesson. How would YOU have handled this situation? It is easy to sit on the sidelines but when we are facing a client and our cards are revealing information we would rather not share we have to decide if this is what we want to do for a living or not. If we were doctors and we did not ever tell our patients that they had cancer, or a bad kidney (or whatever) we would be sued for malpractice. If we were a mechanic and we told our customers that their cards were "just fine" and they broke down at night and got robbed at gunpoint the next evening we would be blamed. In today's lesson Sharon and I talked about whether we should give the whole answer, even if it was a hard one (i.e. someone cheating) and about how we don't have to answer questions we are uncomfortable with or for people we don't "click" with.
