Joining us today is Guilherme and Neto from the Drum & Bass duo Jam Thieves from Brazil!

1.Tell us a little about yourself and the type of music you produce. 
R: We are from northern São Paulo-Brazil, we are producing drum n bass since 2007 and have a style of production facing the minimal. 

2.What is your DAW of choice? 
R: Reason 

3.Tell us about your workflow? How do you write a song? 
R: We sat in the studio almost every day and before starting working we like to hear some musicians that inspire us: Marvin Gaye, Barry White, James Brown and others. This helps us create and inspires us a lot. 

4.Can you tell us your favorite production tips? 
R: Play enough music, taking notes during the day and not in a hurry to finish the tracks. 

5.Who were your influences? Who is your favorite right now?
R: My influences are: Calibre, Skeptikal, Ed Rush & Optical, Bad Company, the man of the hour, for us is the DLR. 

6.Favorite softsynth? 
R: Subtracktor and NNXT 

7.Favorite effect plug-in? 
R: Thor and NN19 

8.Favorite piece of hardware? 
R: Akai MPK25 

9.Anything else in your studio that you love?
R: My little White macBook haha

10.What was the best moment of your career thus far?
R: We received support from big names: Hype, Hazard, Fabio & Grooverider, Marky Ray Keith and others... We did a tour of Chile (Santiago & Valparaiso) and managed to keep us in the top 5 in the dnbarena and Junno download for 3 weeks with our last EP (SMOKE WEED on Serial Killaz Recordings) 

11.What has helped you out most in your music career?
R: we are in the process evolving and we want to reach new styles within the drum n bass 

12.How do you get better at producing?
R: Much concentration good music & weed hahaha

13.What is the most effective way you have found to market your music?
R: Social networks and the Internet have greatly facilitated the release! Soundclound tools like facebook and email make your music get where you want.

14.What’s the best piece of advice you could give to an aspiring producer right now?
R: Work seriously, have faith and believe in what you're doing

R: Smoke Weed
