Super talented House producer Mike Vale from Slovenia joins us today on The Producer Podcast and talks about selling his possessions to build a studio, going out of your comfort zone, and much more!

DAW of choice: Logic Pro 9 and X

Workflow: Always starts with a kick and drum hits. Then he works on the bass line. Once he has a groove going he builds the track around the groove.

Production tips: Take a lead and duplicate it. Then squash the duplicate with parallel compression. Mix the original and squashed version together to make the sound big and full.

Training resources: Read up on your DAW and plug-ins. YouTube tutorials.

Successful career actions: Charting top 10 on Beatport.

Marketing: Invest everything into your track and knowledge.

Best advice for aspiring producers: Read books, watch tutorials, and write music everyday.
