Trump's Political Revolution - a podcast by Justin Ahn

Trump’s impact on America, as a political revolutionary, will last far beyond his presidency. In this episode, I discuss how he has changed the ideology and demeanor of American politics.

1. Trump has shown such extreme conservative views previously absent from D.C. This shifts the Overton window, making conservatism seem normal rather than crazy. This is revealed in his comments, as well as his policies, the effects of which will last for decades.


2. Trump is a totally different kind of politician. He has removed the respect, responsibility and accountability assumed of a president, instead running a politics of hatred, anger and opposition. Also, he has achieved a religious, personality cult-like degree of obedience from his supporters.


3. These two factors causes the Republican Party to shift to Trumpism, the Democratic Party to shift to Trump-like opposition, and the public to be further divided. The only way to eradicate all traces of his impact is an overwhelming defeat.
