Our Grace on the Other Side series wrapped up Sunday on Pentecost, the day we mark the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birth of God’s Church. Even though the Pentecost story is from the book of Acts in the New Testament, the Spirit has been working all through God’s story from the very beginning. Josh shared how the Spirit came at the end of Exodus, the account of God leading His people out of slavery in Egypt. As God led the people out of their collective trauma, God provided a Cloud & Glory of Presence & Fire for the people to follow. They already had a destination of the promised land; at the end of the story, they finally have a way of arriving there: God’s very presence.
