Both men have experience working on the United States Southern Border with Mexico. Avila and his partner Jaime Zapata were gunned down by Los Zetas cartel members – Zapata tragically passed away.
Avila survived, and in this episode talks about the aftermath of the shooting and how he and his family were treated by our government.
