Episode 50- In The Pit: Top 50 Breakdowns with Jim Byrne - a podcast by Enterprise Hardcore Podcast

After I initially interviewed Jim Byrne on episode 18 we talked about doing an episode dedicated to our favorite breakdowns. I think in the beginning we were thinking about maybe talking about 10 or 20 breakdowns. As I got closer to episode 50, I suggested we make it 50 breakdowns. We have spent the better part or the last three months going back and forth on tracks, ranking and reranking them. Judging by the fact that there was still songs by bands that we had trouble fitting on, I'm sure we could have made the list 100 or more. We talk before our top 50 about honorable mentions and there's even a few glaring omissions that we talk about. This was a really fun project and it made us both remember some of the things we love most about hardcore. Feel free to send me some hate mail with all the songs we missed. I will post a link to the blog on my website where the top 50 will be posted on Monday December 27. There's also a Spotify playlist linked below that has most of our Top 50. We also discuss our top 10 for 2021. That will be posted on the blog with the Top 50. I told everyone that contributed a top 10 that they could put anything they wanted and it didn't have to be just hardcore LPs. So naturally I made my list ALL LPs. Thank you to everyone who has shown support to the podcast in the last year and a half. I definitely had moments where I wasn't sure if I would be able to keep this podcast going. I have a lot of cool projects planned for 2022. There will probably be merchandise soon and some live podcasts will be happening eventually. There's a link to the patreon in the show notes as well.
