Because there are so many conflicting ideas and opinions about the church, we struggle to know who we are, why we are here, and what our purpose is. If you consider scripture you will see that the church is a community of Spirit formed followers of Jesus who are participating together to build the Kingdom of God and fulfill Jesus’ mandate to make disciples. It is only when we embrace this understanding will we be able to be the church Jesus intended. The church in the Book of Acts is an excellent model of what Spirit formed community looks like. Over the course of the fall we will be considering some of the characteristics of a Spirit formed community. This week we will focus on 'Christ-centred teaching'.
