Morning:

2 Chronicles 13:18; Psalm 34:8–9; Psalm 37:23–24; Psalm 46:1–2; Psalm 118:8–9; Proverbs 16:20; Romans 4:20–21

Blessed is he who trusts in the Lord.

No distrust made [Abraham] waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised.—The men of Judah prevailed, because they relied on the Lord, the God of their fathers.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea.—It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.—The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack!

In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand.

Let me dwell in your tent forever! Let me take refuge under the shelter of your wings!—Even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with you.
