Morning:Isaiah 65:6; Malachi 3:16; Matthew 12:36–37; Matthew 18:20; Luke 24:15; Philippians 4:3; Colossians 3:16; Hebrews 3:13

Then those who feared theLordspoke with one another. TheLordpaid attention and heard them, and a book of remembrance was written before him of those who feared theLordand esteemed his name.

While they were talking and discussing together, Jesus himself drew near and went with them.—“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”—My fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.—But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

“I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”—Behold, it is written before me.

Evening:Psalm 92:12–14; Psalm 104:16; Jeremiah 17:7–8; Ezekiel 17:24; Hosea 14:5–6

The trees of theLordare watered abundantly.

I will be like the dew to Israel; he shall blossom like the lily; he shall take root like the trees of Lebanon.—“Blessed is the man who trusts in theLord, whose trust is theLord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

“I bring low the high tree, and make high the low tree, dry up the green tree, and make the dry tree flourish.”

The righteous flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. They are planted in the house of theLord; they flourish in the courts of our God. They still bear fruit in old age; they are ever full of sap and green.
