Morning:

Genesis 32:28; Hosea 12:3–4; Mark 9:23; Mark 11:22–24; Luke 1:45; Luke 17:5; Romans 4:20

“Your name shall… be called… Israel, for you have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed.”

In his manhood he strove with God. He strove with the angel and prevailed; he wept and sought his favor.—No distrust made [Abraham] waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God.

“Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”—“If you can! All things are possible for one who believes.”—“And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.”

“Increase our faith!”

John 15:4; John 15:7; 2 Corinthians 1:20; Galatians 1:6–8; Galatians 5:4; Galatians 5:7; James 1:6–8; 1 John 2:28

Little children, abide in him.

The one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—not that there is another one…. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.

You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace…. You were running well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth?

“As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”—For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.

No Other Gospel

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.
