Morning:

Luke 15:13; Romans 5:8; Romans 5:10; 1 Corinthians 6:11; Ephesians 2:3–6; 1 John 4:10

“The younger son gathered all he had and took a journey into a far country, and there he squandered his property in reckless living.”

And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.—We… were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.—In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.

Evening:

Matthew 18:21–22; Matthew 18:32–33; Mark 11:25–27; Luke 7:41–42; Colossians 3:12–14

As the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

“A certain moneylender had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. When they could not pay, he cancelled the debt of both.”—“I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me. And should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?”

“And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”—Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other.

“Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven.”

Love… binds everything together in perfect harmony.
