Morning:

Exodus 2:9; Proverbs 11:25; Matthew 20:4; Matthew 25:34; Matthew 25:37–38; Matthew 25:40; Mark 9:41; 1 Corinthians 3:8; Hebrews 6:10

“Take this child away and nurse him for me, and I will give you your wages.”

“You go into the vineyard too, and whatever is right I will give you.”—“For truly, I say to you, whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ will by no means lose his reward.”—Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.—God is not so unjust as to overlook your work and the love that you showed for his sake in serving the saints, as you still do.—Each will receive his wages according to his labor.

“Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you?’… And the King will answer them,… ‘As you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me…. Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.’”

You search out my path and my lying down.

Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.” And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.”

“The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him.”

In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place—the Most High, who is my refuge—no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.—If you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.—He gives to his beloved sleep.
