They ought always to pray and not lose heart.

And he said to them, “Which of you who has a friend will go to him at midnight and say to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves, for a friend of mine has arrived on a journey, and I have nothing to set before him’; and he will answer from within, ‘Do not bother me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed. I cannot get up and give you anything’? I tell you, though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his impudence he will rise and give him whatever he needs.”—Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.

“I will not let you go unless you bless me.”… “You have striven with God and with men.”—Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.

[Jesus] went out to the mountain to pray, and all night he continued in prayer to God.

Forgive all my sins.

“Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.”—“Take heart, my son; your sins are forgiven.”—“I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.”

“The Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.”—In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.—He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior.—Having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.

Bless the Lord, O my soul,… who forgives all your iniquity.
