Morning:

Exodus 33:17; Deuteronomy 33:29; 2 Samuel 22:31–32; Psalm 1:6; Psalm 46:1; Psalm 91:2; Jeremiah 33:11; Nahum 1:7; 1 Corinthians 8:3; 2 Timothy 2:19

The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.

“Give thanks to the Lord of hosts, for the Lord is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!”—God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.—I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”—“Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord, the shield of your help, and the sword of your triumph!”—This God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him. “For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God?”

But if anyone loves God, he is known by God.—But God's firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.”—The Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.—“You have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name.”

2 Chronicles 16:9; Psalm 34:8; Psalm 34:10; Matthew 6:25–26; 1 Corinthians 7:32; Philippians 4:6–7; 1 Peter 5:7

I want you to be free from anxieties.

He cares for you.—“The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him.”—Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!… The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.— “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
