Morning:2 Samuel 24:14; Psalm 103:9–10; Psalm 103:14; Isaiah 25:4; Isaiah 27:8; Jeremiah 30:11; Malachi 3:17; Luke 22:31–32; 1 Corinthians 10:13

He removed them with his fierce breath in the day of the east wind.

“Let us fall into the hand of the Lord, for his mercy is great.”—“I am with you to save you, declares the Lord…. I will discipline you in just measure, and I will by no means leave you unpunished.”—He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger forever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities…. For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.—“I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him.”

God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.—“Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail.”—You have been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat; for the breath of the ruthless is like a storm against a wall.

My speech and my message were… in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God…. But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”—these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
