In Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them.

In him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.—Steadfast love and faithfulness meet; righteousness and peace kiss each other.

“I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for wholeness and not for evil.”—“Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.”

Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity?—“Agree with God, and be at peace.”—Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.—O Lord, you will ordain peace for us; you have done for us all our works.
