Morning:

Exodus 34:29; Psalm 115:1; Matthew 5:14–15; Matthew 17:2; Matthew 25:37; John 17:22; Acts 6:15; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Philippians 2:3; 1 Peter 5:5

Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because he had been talking with God.

Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory.—“Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?”—In humility count others more significant than yourselves.—Clothe yourselves… with humility.

[Jesus] was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light.—Gazing at him, all who sat in the council saw that his face was like the face of an angel.—“The glory that you have given me I have given to them.”—We all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.—“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.”

Exodus 34:29 (Listen)

There are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.

Some of the men of Manasseh deserted to David…. They helped David against the band of raiders, for they were all mighty men of valor.—To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.

Of Issachar, men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do.—To one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit.—Of Zebulun 50,000 seasoned troops, equipped for battle with all the weapons of war, to help David with singleness of purpose.—He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

That there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.

One Lord, one faith, one baptism.
