139. Aaron Henare - a podcast by Faces & Feels

New Japan Pro Wrestling's Aaron Henare is the only full-time contracted professional wrestler of Māori descent and that is not a responsibility he takes lightly.

But before the United Empire, before he was the Ultimate Weapon, even before he began training as a young lion in NJPW's Dojo... he had been fighting his entire life.

Listen in as Aaron rewinds all the way back to when he first saw wrestling on TV, sneaking his way to a front seat at a WWE live event and being hugged by Batista, meeting Bad Luck Fale and earning his opportunity in the Noge Dojo and everything that goes along with being part of the most effective, yet most grueling training systems in the world.

The same system that prepared him to be able to overcome illness and give a 5.25 star performance with Shingo Takagi in the Ultimate Triad match that he invented!

Henare's also speaking about what his heritage means to him and after being kept away for so long how he can't wait to return home, to help his people and to be a positive influence.
