1.Oddly, one of the bigger news stories in our country are the Canadian wildfires and the smoke that’s making it’s way to Northeast and even as far South as North Carolina. In our little world, multiple baseball games have been cancelled which is wreaking havoc in H2H Leagues. Maybe our Canadian connection can clue us in as to when this might let up?

2.Elly De La Cruz – Thoughts

3.Jacob deGrom – It was the news we all feared. It’s his second TJ Surgery and based on other similar pitchers, his held quite long. The length of time for TJ Surgeries is roughly 10 years. Ask Walker Buehler.
a.If you have him, what are you to do?
b.What do you think the Rangers will do?
c.As a side note, the Rangers elected NOT to get insurance given the cost. Now we know what the insurance companies thought.

4.Alex Manoah was finally demoted to Low-A so he can be at the Complex in Dunedin…not because he’s that bad, well…maybe… Anyway, let’s predict
a.When does he make his return?
b.ERA and K/9 once he returns (i.e for the time he’s pitching, not including his previous starts)

5.Rest of the season game.

6.Kevin Gausman seems to have found another gear this season. He’s struck out 113 in 82 innings with 18 strikeouts.

a.I know he’s not a great fantasy option with one home run and one stolen base, but he can be a nice option if you punt batting average early in the draft with, say a Bobby Witt Jr. type of player. Thoughts on how you handle him on a fantasy team?

8.Aaron Judge hits the IL with a right toe sprain, and it could him a bit to recover. What should fantasy managers do? Give me a couple of options in a 12-team league?
