Hello Runners!
Welcome and I hope you are all healthy and well. So, as we all are enjoying whatever we can during pandemic summer, it appears it is not going away any time soon. Though businesses, retail and some restaurants are opening, more and more running races are cancelled this year. It is safe to say; the 2020 running race season is all but done. I think we all understand and accept that.
UPDATE: Just this morning, prior toreleasing this episode, the New York Marathon was cancelled. It is all but a given that Chicago and most likely Marine Corps Marathon will follow soon.
My friend Michelle and I are a 2-person relay team participating in the https://ultrasignup.com/register.aspx?did=77426 (Virtual Colorado Trail Challenge). This is a 500-mile goal that you have 95 days to complete. It started June 1st. We are just about half way through at just under 250 miles. You can still participate or even see the ongoing results. The name of our team is Bawls to the Wols! https://ultrasignup.com/results/self_record.aspx?dtid=41634&vid=7f6917ac-f0fe-447d-8f9b-440468bb53c9 (Track Us Here)!
We are also doing a weekly Podcast for the Virtual Colorado Trail Challenge, which include updates and some very interesting guests. https://feeds.captivate.fm/virtual-colorado-trail-challange/ (CLICK HERE) to listen and even learn a little about the Colorado Trail. If you have been listening to my podcast for some time, you will know that late last year and January of this year, I had a monthly “minisode” episode on some inspirational and motivating running news. Well due to the pandemic, there has been no running news. That is unless you want to hear about three thousand virtual races, race cancellations or people running races in their backyards, balcony or living room.
So after looking around for a few months, I found three wonderful running news stories to bring you. I know you are going to enjoy each of them. They really are motivating and inspirational.I'm so honored that The Feel Good Running Podcast is growing due to you listeners. I cannot thank you enough. I do receive feedback and one common response is that this podcast is sporadic and not on a firm schedule. Well, that changes now. From this episode going forward, expect to receive a fresh new Feel Good Running episode the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. Mark your calendars!
And again, as much as you dislike being on Email lists, please be sure to get on my Email list to receive the “Feel Good Running” newsletter.
