The Seattle Seahawks are 5-0 on the road this season and have an opportunity to tie their franchise win total on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles have only five wins on the season, but they did beat the Green Bay Packers on Lambeau Field and jumped out to a 10-0 lead against the New England Patriots last Sunday.
On the other hand, the Eagles were dominated by the Vikings and Cowboys and up until recently were the only team the Atlanta Falcons were able to get a win against. So are the 2019 Eagles a good team or are they a bad team? Michael Kist of Bleeding Green Nation joins the Field Gulls Podcast to talk about some of the things frustrating Eagles fans to this point in the season.
Even with the frustrations, the final five games on the schedule have the potential to set the Eagles up for a run to the NFC East title. Could this week's game be a potential playoff preview and might this be one of the last opportunities for the Eagles to show that they have what it takes to be a playoff team?
One of the concerns with the Eagles this season is how Carson Wentz has a lack of deep receiving threats with DeSean Jackson sidelined after having surgery for a core muscle. As Kist puts it, the Eagles have a vertical quarterback who is now forced to play in a horizontal offense.
